Privacy Policy

    Last updated: 6 October 2026

This policy explains what personal data RunWithAlex Coaching collects when you use runwithalex.net, why we collect it, who we share it with and what rights you have. We keep it simple: we only collect what we need to coach you, send you what you asked for and understand how the site is used.

    1. Who we are

The data controller is Aleksandar Matić, trading as RunWithAlex Coaching. For any privacy question or request, email alex@runwithalex.net.

    2. What we collect

Information you give us. When you request a free plan, apply for coaching, fill in the onboarding form, register for a webinar, sign up for the newsletter or contact us, we collect what you enter: usually your name and email, and sometimes your running goal, race distance, preferred plan, training background and any message you write.

Visit information. When you browse the site we record the page you visit, the site that sent you, campaign tags in the link, your device type, browser and language, your IP address and the approximate town and country it points to, and whether you have visited before. To tell visits apart we store a random ID in your browser. It contains nothing that identifies you by name.

Behaviour analytics. We use Contentsquare to understand how visitors use pages (clicks, scrolling, which sections get read) so we can improve the site.

We do not collect payment card details on this site, and we do not knowingly collect data from children under 16.

    3. Why we use it

    • To send you the training plan, webinar details or newsletter you asked for.
    • To reply to your coaching enquiry and, if we work together, to build and adjust your training.
    • To understand which pages and campaigns work so we can improve the site and our content.
    • To keep the site secure and prevent abuse.

Our legal bases are your consent (newsletter, plan and webinar requests), steps taken at your request before or during a coaching agreement, and our legitimate interest in running and improving the site. You can withdraw consent at any time.

    4. Who we share it with

We never sell your data. We share it only with services that help us run the site, and only as much as they need:

    • Our website hosting and database provider, which stores form submissions and visit data.
    • Resend, which delivers our emails.
    • Zapier, which passes webinar registrations to our email tools.
    • Contentsquare, for behaviour analytics.
    • An IP location service, which turns an IP address into an approximate town and country.
    • Spotify, if you play a podcast episode embedded on the site.

Some of these providers process data outside the European Economic Area. Where they do, they rely on safeguards such as the EU Standard Contractual Clauses.

    5. How long we keep it

Enquiries and leads are kept for up to 2 years after our last contact, unless you become a coaching client, in which case we keep your details for as long as we work together and as long as the law requires afterwards. Visit data is kept for up to 26 months. You can ask us to delete your data sooner.

    6. Cookies and local storage

We store a small random ID in your browser to count unique and returning visitors, plus a session ID that is cleared when you close the tab. Contentsquare may set its own cookies for analytics. You can clear or block these in your browser settings at any time; the site will still work.

    7. Your rights

Under the GDPR and similar laws you can:

    • Ask for a copy of the data we hold about you.
    • Ask us to correct or delete it.
    • Object to or restrict how we use it.
    • Ask for your data in a portable format.
    • Withdraw your consent, for example by unsubscribing from any email.
    • Complain to your local data protection authority.

Email alex@runwithalex.net and we will reply within 30 days.

    8. Security

Data is stored with access restricted to the site owner, and transferred over encrypted connections. No system is perfect, but we take reasonable steps to protect what you share with us.

    9. Changes to this policy

If we change how we handle your data, we will update this page and the date at the top. Questions? Get to know Alex or email us anytime.
