Where it started
I wasn't a fast kid. I wasn't particularly athletic either. But somewhere in my early twenties, I decided I wanted to run a half marathon, not because anyone expected it of me, but to prove to myself that I could. That image I had of myself, the non-runner, I wanted to beat it.
I finished that half marathon. Then I kept going.
The moment I knew

My first 12-hour ultra changed everything. I covered 100 kilometres and finished 6th overall. Not because I was the most gifted runner on the start line, but because I understood pacing, process, and how to manage effort over a very long time. That race told me something important: the way I approach running works.
"It's doable. We don't take shortcuts. We live for the process, not the goal."
Why I coach
After 15 years of running, through injuries, breakthroughs, bad races, and great ones, I accumulated a lot of knowledge. Coaching is how I share it. I work with runners from all over, from complete beginners attempting their first 5K to athletes training for 100K ultras.
My background is in IT. I run another business alongside this one, so I understand what it means to train seriously around a full life. No one I coach has running as their only commitment. That reality shapes how I build every plan.
I'm UESCA certified, which is an internationally recognised coaching qualification. But the honest answer to why I coach is simpler than any certification: I love this sport, and I love watching people surprise themselves with what they can do.
